Kristi Bernard is the writer, editor and founder of The Neophyte Writer. This blog is information for writers and their journey. It’s a place where writers can learn and develop their skills. It features author interviews, book reviews, and trends in the world of writing.
Her story “BIG RED” was one of the first to be promoted on a site with a new endeavor in promoting authors and their books. The sites sole purpose is to have children read stories to other children via video. Since the launch of www.Smories.com. It has grown and become one of the most productive sites of it’s kind. Kristi has won writing contests at www.RedRoom.com, a website for authors.
Kristi began her writing career by creating Standard Operating Procedures Manuals (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLA), Work Level Agreements (WLA) and Administrative Manuals for various employers. She also has articles listed at www.Ezines.com, and www.Bizymoms.com.
In addition to writing books for children she does book reviews for Tiger Tales Books, the Children Literature Comprehensive Database(CLDC) in which her reviews are posted at Borders and Barnes & Nobles Books and www.BookPleasures.com. She has featured articles and book reviews at The National Writing For Children Center (NWFCC) in which she was a contributing editor. Kristi is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and the Association of Children’s Authors & Illustrators of Color (ACAIC).
Not expecting her writing to come so far in only a year, she now focuses her attentions on book reviewing, blogging, helping parents get their kids reading and volunteering for non-profit organizations. She can be found on Facebook and Twitter. Her informative sites are:
